Elastomeric diaphragms are used in tanks for positive expulsion of Hydrazine on board spacecraft. Shown at right is a 40 inch diameter 2/1 spheroid diaphragm tank for hydrazine, ATK-PSI P/N 80407-1. The Tank has a total volume of 28,144 cu. in. and has a 314 psig MEOP. This tank family had been supplied to numerous spacecraft programs including TDRSS, X-38, EOS , TRMM, ETS-VII, and SOHO. |

Shown at right is a 16.5 inch diameter spherical diaphragm tank for hydrazine, PSI P/N 80275-1. The tank is qualified for 83 lbs (1,955 cu.in) of hydrazine at an MEOP of 435 psig. This tank family has been supplied to spacecraft programs including GPS II, Titan, Landsat, Mars 98, and many others. |

Shown at right is a 22 inch diameter spherical diaphragm tank for hydrazine, PSI P/N 80200-1. This tank is similar to the PSI P/N 80298 series for storage of 160 lbs of hydrazine at 485 psig MEOP. This is PSI's most popular size of diaphragm tanks, having been supplied to numerous programs.
